Chloe Ratcliffe - director & translation consultant

Providing translation & language services under various roles since graduating with BA Honours in French, Spanish & Italian in 2005, Chloe has worked as a translator then project manager and operations manager within three top 20 LSPs for small and large clients ranging across sectors such as corporate communications, finance and banking, legal and life sciences.

As a keen walker and hiker (fledgling trail runner/cani-crosser and climber), Chloe escapes to the UK mountains and hills as often as possible and is partial to a long-distance challenge, starting with the National 3 Peaks and moving on to walking Hadrian’s Wall – covering just under 100 miles – in 4 days and then the Lakeland 50 (hiking 50 miles in 24 hours).

Upcoming 2018 challenges include the Cinque Ports 100 (walking 100 miles in 48 hours) and the Ride Across Britain (cycling 975 miles in 9 days).

Realising the best kind of shopping is for specialist outdoors equipment from waterproof jackets to boots, ice axes and dog harnesses – whether it’s for grip, comfort, breathability or lightweight features – Chloe decided the hours spent researching and shopping for outdoor products could be doubled-up for the next step in her translation career.

And who would not like to have an extra excuse to get outdoors? So combining three main interests: translation/language services, outdoor pursuits/hiking/climbing and business just seemed like common sense...

Mountain LSP was born!
